Middle Point Between My House and China is inspired by a recurring dream Capitán had as a child, in which she imagined digging a long tunnel from her home in rural Spain all the way through the earth to China.

This dream was made reality through many trips to the country, first as a child, then a young adult exploring with a camera, and finally as an artist working on commission. It is imbued with her personal view of the country, the most foreign experience she could have imagined as a young child.

It was published in collaboration with Maximillian William, graphic designed by Frances Wilks and launched at the renowned bookstore Claire de Rouen in London, 2017.
