Imagination Investments is a three-part exhibition across Taikoo Place, Hong Kong, unfolding through three connected spaces and reflecting on memory, longing and connection. Naïvy opens the journey in an open, boundaryless gallery space, bringing together over 50 photographs, paintings and text works built around the sailor as a recurring figure of autonomy and drift, and the sea as both landscape and metaphorical state of being — an ode to the fragility of freedom and the nostalgia of youth. I Read While I Walk carries the work out into public space — thirteen handwritten aphorisms and poems installed across different spaces within Taikoo Place and on billboards throughout the city, weaving a poetic voice into the rhythm of everyday movement. Memory Adoption Bureau completes the journey, transforming a space into a participatory installation drawn from an archive of more than 10,000 vernacular photographs, where visitors adopt a forgotten image and become custodians of an anonymous past. Across the three spaces, the exhibition moves from private fascination to public intervention to collective archive — an evolving meditation on how memories and meanings are formed, carried and preserved.
